How To Color Block Your Outfits The Right Way

Are you bored of wearing the same mundane outfits each time you reach your wardrobe? There's no doubt that a plain white t-shirt paired with blue denim is a classic look but it's all too repetitive. So boring!

Wouldn't you want to create a statement? Turn everybody's heads? Get your crush's attention? With already existing pieces? Without spending a penny?

Then you need to Color Block! Yup ladies, this is one trend that's here to stay. It can be as subtle as you want or you can go full Lady Gaga, it all depends on whatever you're feeling that day..oh, and the best part, you ask? It makes you look slimmer too! ( if worn with strategy )

Now, what is color blocking? It's simply pairing two different colored items to turn boring outfits into brand new ones. For example, a hot pink top with red pants or a purple blouse paired with an orange overcoat. However, you can also choose to wear pieces of the same color group in different shades for a subtle monochromatic look. It's all about wisely choosing colors that complement each other. Be careful though, too much experimenting can make you look like a hot mess! Although there are no strict rules, it's smart to know and study the color wheel before you make a decision so as to avoid disasters!

Here's a simple color wheel to follow the next time you want to make a statement-
